Obituary for Cornelius L. Taylor
The final chapter and the peaceful conclusion of the miraculous story in God’s Book of Life for our beloved Cornelius Lee Taylor was revealed on Monday evening at 5:45 p.m., December 2, 2019 at Sentara Hospice House, Norfolk, VA.

Cornelius was born June 22, 1966 to Margaret Archer Taylor and the late Elton Taylor. He received his education through the Powhatan County public schools. After graduation he tried numerous jobs. He worked at the shipyard in Norfolk, VA for years before discovering his true passion, renovating and remolding homes, and later developed his own business from it. Cornelius joined Promise Land Baptist Church at an early age. “Neal” as he was known, played Little League Baseball for Powhatan Elementary School, joined the Cub Scouts, love fishing and working on cars.

He leaves to cherish precious memories of his many family and friends: former wife and forever friend, Wendy Taylor of Norfolk, VA; four sons, Rashad Taylor of Henrico, VA, Caleb, Solomon and DaJuan Taylor all of Norfolk, VA; (one deceased in memory, Chaz Hall); two daughters, Madison of Colorado and Ann of Norfolk, VA; five grandchildren; mother and stepfather, Margaret and Michael Evans of Chesterfield, VA; his grandmother, Mamie Archer; brother and step brother, Preston Taylor and James Brown, III; sister and step sisters, Lavita Brown, Chakelia Smith, Sylvia Green (Tony), Michelle Saunders and Santesa Pope (Antony); a beloved friend, Tiffany Rock of Norfolk, VA; devoted uncles, Edward Taylor (Lillie in memory), Lewis Archer (Judy), Lloyd Archer Jr. (Shirley) and William Archer (Jackie); two devoted aunts, Pearl Bolding and Angie Tyler Tann.
