She was the youngest of fourteen children born to Hannah Brown Rowe and James Lawrence Rowe in Harlem, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents and thirteen siblings.
At a young age, her uncle Fred Rowe and Anna Marie Oliver Rowe took Veronica in and played an important role in her life.
She attended Luther H. Foster High School. She was employed at Ye Olde Virginnie (family owned business) in McKenney, Virginia for several years, playing many roles such as personal care aide, taking on kitchen duties, passing out medications and giving loving quality care for over twenty years.
She was baptized at an early age at Union Baptist Church, Crewe, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law. She leaves to cherish her memories to her loving husband, Armestead Lee Green; two devoted children, Shavonne Shelton (Robert “Bobby”) and Charles Rowe; one granddaughter, Iyonna Eppes; three step-children, Lanita, Sylvia and Donnie; mother-in-law, Dorothy Jane Wallace of Warfield, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Regina Fields (Joseph); two brothers-in-law, Alphonso Green and Alfred Green; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and her loving dog Kaycup.
Veronica, affectionately known as “Ronnie” was a loving and caring person with a vibrant personality that would light up the entire room instantly! “Ronnie” (as people called her) was always laughing, joking and up for having a good time with her family and friends. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
