In life, people are brought onto our paths that light the way. Either through words, presence or small sharings and glimpses of knowledge they have found useful. One of those beautiful and extraordinary beings rode his horse into his final sunset.
Larry lived life on his own terms, embracing the western lifestyle taking the reigns to forge his own path and earning him the nickname “Cowboy”. He was a steady and consistent source of encouragement and unconditional love in the lives of his family, friends and chosen sisters and brothers.
An electrician by trade Larry’s true passion was caring for his beloved horse Bailey and dog, Katie.
His greatest joy was doting on his nieces, nephews and young cousins. Nicknames and terms of endearment were assigned to those he held dear.
He excelled at roping, country dancing, dog training and wood carving.
Motorcycles, mountain climbing/repelling, backpacking, camping, farming, and raising cattle were part of his journey. Being the righthand man to the construction of a log cabin; and restoring a 1965 Ford mustang were highlights of his accomplishments. Larry’s generosity supported the military veterans, the homeless and food pantries.
Larry Dean will be remembered most for his clever phrases, entertaining tales and unmistakable laughter.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures…He restoreth my soul. Psalm 23: 2-3
