Tony Reginald Ross, entered eternal rest and peace on June 6, 2024. Tony was born on May 14, 1952, to the late Charlie and Louise Ross in Prince Edward County Virginia. At an early age, he was baptized and joined the Calvary Baptist Church in Burkeville, VA. He was educated in the Prince Edward County Schools. During his school years, he was admired by his classmates. After high school, he entered the Job Corp in Lexington, KY where he earned his GED; his course of study was heavy equipment operation. He was a dedicated employee for forty-three and a half years at Farmville Wholesale Electric Company. His loyalty and commitment were exemplified by his work ethic and long-term working relationships. Tony was highly respected by his supervisor, peers, and vendors all over Central Virginia; which led to his supervisor sponsoring the trip of his lifetime to Sydney, Australia to support his daughter in the 2000 Olympic Games. Tony has been sorely missed after his retirement.
Tony was known as an easygoing, kind, fun, and lovable person,“a gentle giant”, who had a good heart and would do anything for anybody. Some of his interests were fishing, working in the yard, model cars, and his beloved Westerns. He was an advent watch collector. He was married to the love of his life, Juanita, over forty years ago on June 9, 1984.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Louise Ross; his sisters, Doris Jackson and Vivian Briscoe; and his brothers Edward, Leroy, Arthur Lee, Franklin, and Jasper Ross.
