On February 19, 2024, our hearts were saddened by the loss of our beloved Harry “Mike” Stith as God’s angels called him home.
He was born on September 04, 1948, in Crewe VA to the late Harry Milton and Matilda Stith, one of 12 children. He married the late Helen “Kat” Stith in 1977 and spent all his time in Crewe VA and most recently at The Woodlands in Farmville VA until he was called home.
He was educated in Nottoway and found his trade in professional painting and other small laboring jobs. He was a man of few words to some and had a lot to say in the company of others, no matter what was said you were guaranteed to get a laugh. His caring and giving heart was known to all no matter why or how their paths crossed. He always shared what he had to help anyone in need. He was sure to give you words of wisdom and stories of lifelong lessons to share with us all. He loved to hunt and garden in his spare time.
He joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at an early age and to cherish is memory he leaves one son Kevin Belle, one daughter Tracey Stith (Bethany), four brothers Stanley Stith, Calvin Stith, Kent Stith, Alvin Stith; four sisters Charlotte Muse, Sandra Stith (Robert), Diane Chalkley (Alvin), Joyce Barkley, and an incredibly special great nephew A’Jahn “Nippy” Bonner. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
