Deacon William J. “Billy” Mondrey Jr., enlisted in the Army and served for two years. He was employed by the Virginia Department of Transportation for 30 years until his retirement.
Time To Embrace
Deacon Williams J. “Billy” Mondrey Jr. was baptized at an early age at his church called at the time Brick Church. The same church name changes in later years, new name Liberty Baptist Church. “Billy” was called by God to become a Deacon and he served that calling until his death.
Time To Weep And A Time To Mourn
Deacon William J. Mondrey Jr. was proceeded in death by his daughter Cassandra Jones. He leaves to cherish his memories of his loving wife, Lois Ann Mondrey, two children, James (Beth) Mondrey, and Willard (Cynthia) Mondrey all of Richmond. Two Grandchildren, Jordan and Myles Mondrey. Two brothers, Victor (Darlene) and Andrew (Sharon) Mondrey of Richmond, Va. Sisters, Mary Jasper, Louise Harris, Marilyn Mondrey Hicks, Maxine Mondrey of Amelia, Va. Reverend Nancy (William Lee) Clarke and Augusta (David) Thornton. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was loved by so many and all of whom he came in contact with, he would always leave you with these words, “Be Bless Now” with a smile that lit up a room.
