Obituary for James A. Ruffin
James Ruffin (Plut), son of the late John (Wicks) and Geneva Ruffin was born on July 7, 1935. He departed this life on Monday, March 5, 2018 at his residence in Richmond, VA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence.
James worked twenty-five years as a heavy equipment operator. After retiring, he enjoyed fishing, picking up cans, cutting grass, feeding the homeless, entertaining women and riding his MoPed.
James is survived by one step-daughter Margaret Milton; six step-grandchildren, Wanda, Joe Jr., Travis, MeMe, Glenda and Nathan; also cherishing his memories are five sisters, Aileen, Helen Dallas, Virginia, Thelma and Frances; three brothers, Allen, Bob (Hattie) and Joseph; thirteen nieces; twelve nephews; twelve great nieces and nephews, devoted, Phillip and Ercelle; a host of cousins and friends (Cornbread and Denice) all at 1200 Decauter St.
Funeral Service Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, Amelia. Interment church cemetery.
