Obituary for Gracie M. Mitchell
Gracie F. Mitchell went to be with her heavenly father in the early morning hours on Friday January 29th, at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital. She was born October 23rd,1956 in Richmond, Virginia.
Gracie was preceded in death by her mother Sarah P. Faulkner, Sisters, Fannie P. Lyles, Vernell P. Fitzgerald, and Grace P. Mitchell. Brothers Roland Pegram and Ronald L. Faulkner. She joined Little Bethel Baptist Church at an early age, where she served on the Usher’s ministry until her health began to decline. She attended the Amelia County Public schools. She was last employed by Five Star Senior Living. Gracie loved all things fashion, shopping, casino trips, playing cards and especially her Sunday outings with her husband.
Gracie was joined in holy matrimony to Craig Mitchell on July 6th, 1991, but he has been her sweetheart since 1970. Gracie leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband Craig, devoted children Gregg Faulkner (Letitia), Daphne Faulkner (Bernard), Danita Watson (George), and Cordiero Faulkner (LaQuisha). Father James N. Faulkner, Devoted Grandchildren, India Onika, CorMari Caren, Ny’Asia Symone, G’Ahja Ari’Yon, Tristan Juelz, Da’Siya Dream, Imani Jane, and Jermaine Lamont. Devoted brothers James E and Jessie Faulkner and devoted sister Virginia A. Robinson. Bonus daughters Rolanda Faulkner, Antionette Archer (Tony) and Rhonda Faulkner. Devoted nieces Taylora, Angela, and Latrice Manuel and Leronda Jefferson. Brother-in-law Roger Gillen, Sisters- in- law one devoted Margaret Mitchell, Marlene, Lisa, and Leslie Gillen. A host of nieces and nephews, Two special friends Wanda Johnson and Darlene Baldwin, and numerous other relatives and friends.
