Jacklyn Worsham, Jr. (aka Charlie), 68 went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2020 at his residence in Richmond, VA. All Charlie requested while at the VA Hospital was to be at home so he can be with his family and friends. His smile, laugh, money loaning services, being at McDonalds at Southside Plaza, playing lottery on Jahnke Rd. and providing transportation will truly be missed.
Jacklyn was the son of the late Jacklyn Worsham, Sr. and Clara Harris Worsham in Nottoway County. He attended the Nottoway County Public School.
He was married to Linda Elder, who preceded him in death. This union was blessed with two sons.
He was preceded in death by three siblings, Matthew, Wilbert and Mary Worsham. He leaves to treasure his memories: two sons, Tony Elder (Jenean Tabon) of Richmond and Jacques “Jake” Elder of Blackstone, VA; three grandchildren, Shyesha Booker, Ketoria Gregory and Larry Elder; great grandson, Zhy’Quan Dowtin; siblings, Mildred Clark, Otis Worsham (Louise), Clara Jones, Thelma Worsham, Ethel Coleman (James), Barbara Worsham, Rebecca Worsham; special devoted loving niece, Shenita (Beeda) Worsham; two devoted nieces that cared for him until his last breath was taken, Cartrelia Morgan and Nadiah Bull (May 14th); a devoted nephew, Charles Worsham; mother in law, Morrine Patterson; sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Craig, Floreace Caliborne, Gertie Elder, Wanda Coleman, Cynthia Patterson, Sherry Brown; brothers-in-law, Milton Elder and Sherwood Patterson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home, Blackstone. Interment Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
