Obituary for Frank E. Eppes, Jr.
Mr. Frank Edward Eppes, Jr., 63 of Nottoway County, VA departed this life on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at his home in Burkeville, VA surrounded by all his kids and grandkids. Son of the late Frank and Daisy Campbell Eppes, he was born on December 8, 1953. Frank was the sixth of ten children.
At an early age he gave his life to Christ and was baptized at New Poplar Mount Baptist Church in Crewe, VA. He later joined Faith Landmark Ministry in Richmond, VA where he was a faithful member until his health failed.
On October 15, 1972 Frank married Patricia Booker, to this union eleven children were born: Vincent (Jolana) Eppes, Natarsha (John) Eppes-Kelly, Frank (Teisha) Eppes, III, Michelle (Emory) Eppes, LaKeisha (Milton) Eppes-Lawson, Lavern (John) Eppes, Anthony Eppes, Ronell (Micheal) Eppes-Blackwell, Angela (Doward) Eppes-Hicks, Michael Eppes and Brooke Eppes.
Frank had previous jobs before settling at Tyson Food for thirty-two years as a truck driver, from which he took an early retirement due to medical issues.
He was a father to many kids in the family and the community. Whenever you would see him he always had a word from the Lord, and he has given us all a lot of good advice of what to do and what not to do.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Campbell and Milton Eppes; two sisters, Barbara Brown and Erma Spicely; mother–in-law, Mary Elizabeth Booker; granddaughter, Azaria and Grandson, Nykel Eppes.
Frank leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife of forty-four years Patricia B. Eppes; his eleven children; forty-one grandkids; four great grandkids; sisters, Annie L. Eppes, Daisy Taylor, Sarah Price, Shirley (Samuel) Robertson, Mary (Vincent) Anderson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, to include two daughters in love, Deidre Marshall and Cara Smith, one son in love Kassim Williams, two special brothers-in-law, Gregory Brown and Samuel Robertson.
