Obituary for Geneva L. Robinson
Geneva Lynette Robinson, daughter of the late Archildria and Bertha Robinson entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She was affectionately called "Ginny" and Aunt Gi Gi".
Geneva was educated in the Amelia and Powhatan County public schools. at an early age she accepted Christ and was a member of Little Union Baptist Church, Amelia, VA. Later she became a member of New Birth Fellowship Ministries, Richmond, VA where her brother is the pastor.
in her early adult years she resided in New York City and later moved back to Powhatan County.
Geneva regularly attended Powhatan Friendship Café. She was very active in participating in all outings and was never at home. She was an avid card player; she loved to play Spades and Bid Whist. She was definitely a Fashionista: she loved her beautiful suits, dresses and jewelry.
Geneva was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, Frank and George. She leaves to cherish fond memories: her son, Roderick (Boo Boo); six brothers, Eldridge, Charles (Barbara), James (Diane), Cleveland (Diane M), Sylvester (Darlene) and Pastor Ralland Robinson (Francine); three sisters, Vera, Ethel (Roosevelt) and Lottie (Floyd); sisters-in-law, Yvonne Dotson, Rosa Robinson and an host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A devoted friend, Ruby (Tina) Foxx.
Funeral services well be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18 from New Birth Fellowship Ministries, 5745 Orcutt Lane, Richmond. Interment Little Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Amelia.
Remains rest at Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home, 15001 Patrick Henry Highway, Amelia where family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday.
