Obituary for Beulah Marie Smith
Beulah Marie Smith departed this life on Friday, January 25, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA. She was born April 12, 1935 in Nottoway County to the late Alfred and Chloris Morgan. She was preceded in death by three sons, Clifton Bland, James Bland and Joe Bland. She was educated in the Nottoway County Public School System. She moved to New York City and stayed there more than fourteen years, but later decided she liked Virginia better, so she moved to Richmond, VA. Beulah and Charles were married in the year of 1980. they were married for twenty-eight years. Beulah leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband Charles H. Smith; one son, Milton “Butch” (Shirley) Morgan of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Milton (Renea) Morgan Jr. and Marlon Morgan of Richmond, VA, Sharise (Nakia) Brewington and Sherilyn Morgan of Upper Marlboro, MD, Milton Lovett of Pennsylvania, Rahmel Bland, Tremaine Bland, Takeila Gholson and daughter-in-law, Joyce Bland all of Petersburg, VA; sisters, Thelma Anderson and Alice (Donald ) Jackson of Rochester, NY; brothers, Charles Morgan of Rochester, NY and Bobby (Maxine) Morgan of Washington, DC; aunt, Violet Harris of Orangeburg, SC; six sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law, all of Waverly, VA; six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from Eleven Oaks Baptist Church, Crewe, VA with interment in the Morgan-Jennings Cemetery, Crewe, VA.W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home of Blackstone in charge of the arrangements.
