Obituary for Catherine I. Williams
Catherine Irene Williams departed this life on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at her home in Richmond, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Estelle and Henry C. Hayes.
Catherine joined Branches Runn Baptist Church at an early age. Later she moved to Richmond, Virginia and joined the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and served until her death.
She graduated from Russell Grove High School. She also graduated from the School of Nursing. She was employed at Crawford Manufactory for seventeen years and was a supervisor, she also worked at Breeze-Inn for five years, and was employed by Dr. Anne and Dr. Larry Shwartz for thirteen years.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband, Benny E. Williams; two sisters, Deaconess Hester Robertson and Emma Williams of Amelia, Virginia; two brothers, Henry and Douglas Lee Hayes of Amelia, Virginia; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; one aunt, Adele E. Banks of Richmond, Virginia; three very dedicated friends, Nelson Foster, Dallas Foster and Walter H. Inge of Richmond, Virginia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Branches Runn Baptist Church, Amelia with interment in the church cemetery.
