Obituary for Mary E. Oliver
MARY EMILY WARD OLIVER, daughter of the late McKinley Ward and Jenny Cousin Ward was born June 11, 1930 in Amelia County, Virginia. Mary was the oldest of eleven children.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Ward and Freeman Ward; two sisters, Julia Stith and Bobbie C. Hill; and her husband, Andrew Royal (Buck Joe) Oliver, who was the love of her life.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Annie Mae Bradshaw; four grandchildren, Rita W. Bland (Robert), Tina M. Williams, Eric M. Belle and Terry Bradshaw; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; one brother, McKinley Ward (Carrie) of Petersburg, VA; five sisters, Ardelia Vaughan, Carrie Anderson (Roscoe), Jenny Jackson, all of Crewe, VA, Millie Glover of Blackstone, VA and Addie Jennings of Boston, MA; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two brothers-in-law, Benjamin Stith, Jr. and Johnny Hill of Crewe, VA; a special nephew, Darryl Ward of Texas.
Funeral Services Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Dominion Worship Center, Crewe with interment on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia.
