Wilson William Henry Green Jr. fondly called ‘Rap’ entered into eternal rest and peace at 8:15 am, Sunday, June 18, 2017 at VCU Community Memorial Hospital. He was born in Blackstone Virginia, October 2, 1951.
Wilson was educated at A. G. Richardson and Luther H. Foster School in Nottoway Virginia. He worked as a laborer on various jobs. Wilson was baptized as an adult at Spring Hill Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved race cars.
Wilson Jr. was preceded in death by his parents Wilson Sr. and Margaret Green and his sister Brenda Green Epes.Â
He was married to Vanessa Gray Green and from this union two children were born.
Wilson Jr. leaves to cherish his memories: one son Wilson William Henry Green III, (Bianca) Crewe, VA and one daughter Keemeitra Green (Andre), Drakes Branch, VA; three grandchildren Keith Johnson of Richmond VA and Jalia and Jazmine of Drakes Branch, VA; two loving and devoted sisters, Nannie Lee Green Watson, Blackstone VA and Jacqueline Yvonne Green, Sandston, VA; three aunts, Frances Wilson, Blackstone VA, Leola Pritchett and Lillie Craig both of Richmond, VA; two uncles, James Edward Green and Waymond Mitchell both of Blackstone, VA; a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins; one godbrother Curtis Epes Jr.; three godsisters Shirley Crawley, Marcella Fowlkes and Michelle Marshall, and special friends Ralph Bailey (Nature Boy) & Laura Lee Fowlkes.
Funeral Services Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home, Blackstone. Interment Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery, Blackstone.
