Obituary for Willie Lee Royal, Sr.
Willie Lee Royal Sr. quietly and peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home on the morning of Wednesday, July 5, 2017. He was the only child of Alberta Royal born here in Amelia County on November 1, 1935.  His mother died when he was very young.  He was raised by his Grandmother and three loving Aunts.  He retired after many, many years at Dick’s Tire Shop in Amelia.

He is survived by his daughter Mary Giles (John) Yorktown VA; Willie Jr (Nikia) Amelia VA; Alonza (Richmond VA); and Aloysuis (Amelia VA).  He was blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss him dearly.  Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him.  He is survived by the mother of his four children Helen Royal.  His cousin Elwood Royal who was like a brother.  A devoted friend and companion Helen Johnson.

He was a hardworking man who had a big heart. If you were in need he would give of what he had. He loved fishing and Nascar.  Loved to talk and share stories life experiences. He will be missed by all.

Funeral Services Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Amelia with interment in the church cemetery.
