Obituary for Willie E. Coleman
WILLIE EMANUEL COLEMAN, son of the late Albert and Laura Coleman entered eternal rest on Monday, December 7, 2009. He was born in Amelia County on April 20, 1934
Willie attended school in Amelia County. He joined Ebenezer Baptist Church at a young age. He served as a Deacon of the church.
Willie served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was Honorably Discharged on January 31, 1964.
Willie was employed by MCV as supervisor in the printing department, from which he retired.
Willie enjoyed baseball, at one time he coached a team. He was a member of Benjamin Masonic Lodge of Burkeville.
In addition to his parents, Willie was also preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Parker and a brother, Albert Coleman, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Julia E. Coleman; his children, Beverly Jeter, Gwendolyn (Orestes) West, Willie E. Coleman, Jr., Anthony (Mikki) Coleman and Bruce Coleman; grandchildren, Jermaine Coleman, Nykedda Coleman, Justin West, Shawn West and Tavon Coleman; brothers, Rufus (Elanora) Coleman and Harry (Maxine) Coleman; sisters, Rose Vessels and Ann Adams; brother-in-law, Oliver Parker; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Jetersville with interment in the Coleman Family Cemetery.
