Obituary for William Meritte
William Meritte, son Sidney and Mabel Meritte was born September 27, 1958.  He departed this life and entered eternal rest on Monday, March 16, 2015.
William attended school in Nottoway County.  After school he worked various jobs which included working in Richmond for a while and as a crane operator for about two years in Ashland.  He returned and began to work for Taylor Ramsey.  He also worked in Fort Pickett for a private company, and at Bevell’s Hardware.  In this last year, he did odd jobs for the Joyner family.
William is preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister, but leaves to mourn his death: his  mother Mabel; one sister Linda Evans; two brothers Ernest Meritte (Michelle) and Harold Meritte;  three nephews Donald Moore, Tracey Meritte and Earl Moore, Jr.; two nieces Sheena Meritte and Shavonne Barber; two cousins Connie Saunders and Joanne Craig; a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone.  Interment private
