Obituary for William L. Hardy, Jr.
On Saturday evening July 2, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. in Centra Lynchburg General Hospital, God called home to rest our loved one, William L. Hardy, Jr. He was born on August 15, 1950 to Sarah S. and William L. Hardy, Sr.
He attended Nottoway County Public School. He attended church at an early age.
Later in life he met and married Barbara Hardy. He worked at Robertson Logging Company for twenty years until his health declined.
William was preceded in death by his parents Sarah and William L. Hardy, Sr. He leaves to mourn: his wife Barbara Hardy; two daughters, Dominique Hardy Eni of Richmond, VA and Sarah Smoot of Petersburg, VA; two stepdaughters, Wendy Hobbs (McCraddie) and Tracy Aziz; five sisters, Florence Hardy, Bertha Hardy, Hazel Fields (Charles), Sallie Washington (Wayne), Donna Mason (Derek) of Blackstone, VA; three brothers Earl Hardy (Wilma) of Amelia, VA, Lawrence Hardy (Barbara), Paul Hardy (Beverly) of Blackstone, VA; one uncle Earl Jones (Annie); grandchildren, great grandchildren; devoted friend Charles Fields; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services Friday, July 8, 2016 at New Poplar Mount Baptist Church, Crewe with interment in the church cemetery.
