Obituary for William H. Jenkins
On the early morning of Sunday, January 22, 2017, our love one William Henry Jenkins peaceful entered into eternal peace with God. “Where there is No more pain No more suffering” after a long battle with cancer.

William was born October 12, 1933 to the late Agnes Ward and W. H. Jenkins Sr. of Amelia, Virginia.

He attended and graduated from the Amelia County Public School. Upon graduation he joined the United States Army. During his stay in the Military he became a licensed certified heavy equipment operator. He continued this work in the construction business until his retirement.

He became a member of the Promise Land Baptist Church and served as an usher for many years. William later took the right hand of fellowship with Mount Olive Baptist Church where he would later become a member.

To everyone, he was known as “Junior” with the love of his little Chihuahua dogs and his horses. Everyone always wanted to know if he had anymore little dogs.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife Mary A. Jenkins of four years; his son Wayne Jenkins; daughters Andrea’ Jenkins and Debra Chase; his brother Hayward Ward (Brenda); sister Merio Belton (Martin); Step Children Robin Byrd, Danny Staples, Carroll Hockaday, Wendy H. Anderson, Tracy Hockaday and Cynthia H. Edmonds; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. They will be able to remember the farmer part in their grandfather heart and his love for animals.

Funeral Services Friday, January 27, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Virginia Veterans Cemetery Chapel, Amelia. Interment Veterans Cemetery.
