Obituary for William E. Evans
William Edward Evans entered into eternal rest on March 23, 2021. He was born May 11, 1935 in Nottoway County, VA to the late Robert and Emma Evans.
William was educated in the public schools of Nottoway County, and graduated from Luther H. Foster High School. He joined Springhill Baptist Church at an early age.
William relocated to Richmond, VA in the early 60’s. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Patsy Evans in August of 1977.
William loved fishing and football, his team was Washington. He worked for Sutliff Tobacco Company for seventeen years and Richfood Company for twenty four years until his retirement.
William like driving to WaWa’s, Burger King, KFC and McDonald. He was very active until his recent health decline.
William leaves to mourn: his children, Carrie, George, Carolyn (Louis), Robinet, Cynthia, Janet and Antonio (Sadaya); twelve grandchildren, Kevin, Monica, Robert, LoWann, Diara (Michael), Kendra, Jasmaine, Londyn, Randall, Antonio Jr., Chelbany and William; seven great grandchildren, Ja’Khari, Zoey, Kariyah, Simeon, Ayden, Trey and Jada; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Public viewing for Mr. Evans will be Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 2 to 6PM.
Graveside Services Monday, March 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Springhill Baptist Church, Blackstone.
