Obituary for William B. Wainwright
Mr. William “Bob” Wainwright Sr. departed this life suddenly on June 3, 2020, in Bronx, New York. He was born on February 13. 1952 to the late Robert Yeager and Mary Wainwright.
His early life was spent in Virginia, he attended Nottaway Public Schools before moving to New York City where he remained until he was called home to glory.
He worked various jobs in Bronx, New York before becoming ill. Even though Bob faced illness for many years, he was a fun loving person that loved to dance and have a good-time.
William was preceded in death by his daughter, Vernessa Denise Wainwright; siblings, Raymond, Sally and Florence. He leaves to cherish his memories five sons: Marlon Felder of Atlanta, Georgia, William Wainwright Jr. of Bronx, New York, Dwayne Wainwright of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Dwight Wainwright of Bronx, New York and Kevin Wainwright of Georgetown, South Carolina; twelve grandchildren; two brothers: Robert (Liz) of Aiken, South Carolina, Willie (Carolyn) of Rocky Mount, Virginia; two sisters, Louise and Rebecca of Bronx, New York, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home, Blackstone. Interment Jackson Family Cemetery, Crewe.
