Obituary for Willia 'Pat' Jackson
Willia Patricia Penn Jackson also known as ‘Pat’ passed away on August 26, 2017 at the age of 75. She was born in Martinsville, VA on March 31, 1942 to Benjamin Penn Sr. and Ethelena (Craighead) Penn.

She was educated in the Nottoway County School System and Bridgeton High School in Bridgeton, NJ. While living in Burkeville, VA at a young age she was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church of Burkeville. She later became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Alloway, NJ, where she served on the Usher Board until she returned to Burkeville, VA.

Pat was employed through Vineland Processing Company located in South Jersey for several years.

Her favorite pass times were fishing and crocheting, both of which she loved to share with family and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Benjamin Penn Jr. and William R. Penn; two sisters Doris A. (Craighead) Sydnor and Dolores Jean (Penn) Anderson; mother-in-law, Estelle L. (Sydnor) Jackson; father-in-law Herman L. Jackson; two brothers-in-law Linwood Sydnor and Sherman Jackson.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 54 years, Herman Matthew Jackson; three god children, Timmy Bagby, Thomas M. Penn and Stephanie; a host of nieces and nephews she mothered; one sister Roxie L. Woodrum of Dorchester, MA; two brothers Charles Penn of Baltimore, MD and Douglas Penn of Bridgeton, NJ; seven sisters-in-law, Carmen Penn, Rosalee Penn, Mae Penn, Doris Jackson, Christine Jackson, Ann Jennings and Lois Coleman; four brothers-in-law Sylvester Jackson, Leroy Jackson, Russell Jennings and Vince Coleman; a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Morning Star Baptist Church, Burkeville. Interment Jackson Family Cemetery, Burkeville.
