Obituary for Waverly Williams
WAVERLY WILLIAMS, son of the late Otis Williams was born August 2, 1945 in Lunenburg County, Virginia. He departed this life on Friday, November 2, 2007 at his residence. He attended school in Lunenburg County, Virginia. Waverly was a member of Little Mount Baptist Church, Blackstone, Virginia. Waverly was a truck driver for many years until his health began to fail. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Willie Clack and brother, David Lee Clack, but leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Frances Williams of the home; one son, Leslie Williams of Chester, Virginia; one devoted granddaughter, Bra Williams; one devoted grandson, Waverly Tony Kelly; eight step grandchildren; one brother, Willie Clack of Blackstone, Virginia; one uncle, Wilburn Williams of Baltimore, Maryland; his mother-in-law, Sallie Creekmore; daughter-in-law, Laura Williams; seven brothers-in-law; ten sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from Hawkes Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone with interment in the Taylor Family Cemetery, Brunswick, Virginia.W.E.
