Waverly Madison Lawrence, Jr. “Luke”, departed this life on Sunday, August 16, 2015. he was born on August 7,1951 to Alma Lawrence Threatt and the late Waverly Lawrence.
He attended school in Amelia County. At an early age he joined the Branches Runn Baptist Church. He later moved his membership to Bethia Baptist Church.
Waverly was employed and retired from Phillip Morris after thirty years of service. He was currently employed with Service Solutions.
Luke was an outdoors person, he loved hunting, fishing, yard work, gardening, cars and motorcycle riding. He was a handy man and could fix anything.
Luke leaves to cherish his memory; a devoted wife of twenty-five years, Mary; one stepson; two step grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; his devoted mother, Alma Threatt (William); sister, Shirley L. Jackson (Tommy); one sister-in-law; three aunts; two uncles; nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews, cousins; devoted friends, James Royal, Ronald Baptist, Wayne Christian, Ric Chavis, Sam Callis, John Callis, Calos Worsham; other loving relatives and caring friends.
