Obituary for Walter "Randy" Jones
On June 10, 1953 God gave the late Ida and Tom (Love) Jones a lovely baby boy, they named him WALTER RANDOLPH JONES. He was the fourteenth child.
He attended schools in Nottoway County and graduated. This is where he met his love Mollie Tillery and married her on January 1, 1972. From this union four sons were born, Kevin Jones, Sr. of Burkeville, VA, Sherman Jones (Cheryl) of Richmond, VA, Detrick Jones of Philadelphia, PA and Tuan Jones of Richmond, VA who preceded him in death. Fifteen grandchildren, PaPa’s Boy Kevin Jr. (KJ) of Burkeville, VA, Diamond, DeAndra, Jordan, Jaylan and Dasha of Atlanta, GA, Deyshon of Richmond, VA, Amber, Amer’ia, Nija, Detrick, Darak, Diamond, Derak and Desanee of Philadelphia, PA, Kadisha Henderson of Atlanta, GA; three adopted grandchildren, Remesha, RaeShaun and JuWaun of Blackstone, VA; two adopted daughters, Castle Henderson of Atlanta, GA and Joyce Johnson of Blackstone, VA; daughter-in-law, Sabrina Jones (BaBa) of Burkeville, VA; two godsons, Sherwon Wainwright of Crewe, VA and Michael Gee Jr. of Blackstone, VA.
Jones loved all of his children each in his own way and one just as much as the other
He had thirteen sisters and brother of which four preceded him in death, Tom, Mack, Ethel and Carrie. Lonnie Bennette, Grady Jones (Hattie), Robert (Misty) of Philadelphia, PA, Nathaniel Jones (Lillian) of Crewe, VA, George Jones of Richmond, VA, Hester Campbell, Sallie Dickson (John), Rebbacca Foster all of Crewe, VA; Shirley Jones of Baltimore, MD; three nieces who was always there for him no matter what, Mable Hawkes, Donna Roberts and Blanch Lauary; and a host of other nieces and nephews, three best friends, Harry and Jeanne Goosby and Lois Hutchins of Atlanta, GA
Funeral Service Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Dominion Worship Center, Crewe, VA with interment in the Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice, VA.
