Obituary for Walter Eugene Belle
WALTER EUGENE BELLE, son of the late Charlie and Ethel Belle was born on May 9, 1943 in Nottoway County, VA. He departed this life on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, VA.
He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age. Walter was educated in Nottoway County Public School. He also attended Southside Vocational Center and received a certificate in brick mason. Brick mason was his life, he helped build many brick homes, churches and schools across Virginia. He also enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Walter was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Belle and Robert Belle; one sister, Marie Vaughan, but he leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Eric Belle (Sonya) of Crewe, VA; two daughters, Rita W. Bland (Robert) of Blackstone, VA and Tina Williams of Crewe, VA; one adopted son, Terry Bradshaw of Crewe, VA; ten grandchildren; one brother, John E. Belle (Edna) of Crewe, VA; four sisters, Lucille Jackson of Dallas, TX, Alice Morgan of Hopewell, VA, Edith (Doreatha) Furman of Petersburg, VA and Helen (Kat) Stith of Richmond, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, among them his best friends, Thomas Lewis and Lewis Berkley, Jr.
Funeral Services Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Crewe, VA with interment in the Vaughan Family Cemetery, Crewe.
