Obituary for Virginia S. Hardy
VIRGINIA S. HARDY departed this life on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, VA. She was born to Helen Stokes on October 9, 1931 in Nottoway County.
She attended Nottoway County Public Schools. At an early age she joined Shiloh Baptist Church.
At an early age she met and married Sam Hardy. Virginia was known for loving her family and all kids. She loved being around family and friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Hardy; her mother, Helen Stokes; one sister, Rebecca Maddux; one brother, Robert Lee Stokes.
She leaves to mourn: two sisters, Pearl M. Clark of Blackstone, VA and Shirley Prawl of Maryland; one brother, Morris Lee Stokes of Blackstone; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery, Blackstone
W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home of Blackstone in charge of arrangements.
