Obituary for Virginia M. Tillery
Virginia Tillery, the eldest child of London and Florence Tillery was born April 12, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Helen Wainwwright.
Virginia was called home on Friday, March 31, 2023 while at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA.
She was baptized at an early age and became a member of Levi Baptist Church. She held various positions as an active church member, such as a choir member and a Missionary. She was also an active and devoted member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Virginia was educated in the Prince Edward County School System and graduated from RR Moton in 1958. She went on the further her education at various colleges. She later went on the pursue a career in Mental Health for twenty plus years at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital. She later retired.
Virginia loved to be in the house of the Lord. In her spare time she loved to knit, draw, watch wrestling and soap operas.
Holding onto her memory are the joys of her life: daughter, Donna Roberts (Oral); two granddaughters, Dominique Roberts and Shaunqual Roberts; two great grandchildren, Kiyan Bowden and Zyaire Rather; three sisters, Hattie Jones (Grady), Lillie Clark and Mollie Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 1:00PM at Levi Baptist Church, 1408 Levi Rd., Greenbay, VA. Interment church cemetery.
