Obituary for Virginia M. Bradley
Virginia Marie Venable Bradley departed this life on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at her residence in Amelia County, VA. Daughter of the late Patrick B. and Sadie D. Venable, she was born May 16, 1932 in Amelia, VA.
Virginia was a dedicated and active member of Zion Hill Presbyterian Church.
She married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Bradley in 1954 and together they raised four children while traveling in support of his Army career. They returned to Amelia after his retirement from the military in 1973, where they still remain. Raymond died in 1987. Virginia stayed faithful and now will rejoin her husband.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Virginia is predeceased by a son, William Bradley; a sister, Rosa Christian; brothers, Charles and Lemmie Venable; sisters-in-law, Gladys Hartwell and Doris Booker Bey; brothers-in-law, Roger, Leroy and Chester Bradley.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Bradley; sons, Bruce (Rosa) and Gregory Bradley; daughter-in-law, Katherine Bradley; granddaughters, Chantel and LaShel Bradley; grandsons, LaMar, Jovan and LaVonte’ Bradley; great grandchildren, Ariahna Crockett, LaMarion and LaKera Bradley; sisters, Mable Brown, Mary (Mxolisi) Sowell, Roberta and Helen Venable; brother, Patrick Venable; sister-in-law, Marie El; special cousin Lorraine Eggleston; numerus nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Graveside Services Friday, May 31, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Big Oak Cemetery, Dennisville Rd., Amelia.
