Viola Corean Reed departed this life on May 5, 2020. She was born December 24, 1939, the oldest of nine children, to Deacon Thomas and Ruth Royal.
Viola attended school in Amelia County and graduated from Russell Grove High School. At an early age she was baptized at Allen Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; a baby girl; granddaughter, Destiny; brother, Ralph; sister, Daisy; and grandson Mark Stark. She leaves to mourn her passing: her sons, Robert, Phillip, Mark, James (Jessica) and Darrell; ten grandchildren; brothers, Thomas, John and Nelson (Irma) of Amelia, VA; sisters, Marcia Anderson of Burkeville, VA, Gladys Robinson (George) and Reverend Myrtle Dobson (Tracy) of Newport News, VA; sisters-in-law, Hazel Reed, Alice Pegram and Mable Lou Archer; brothers-in-law, Patrick (Doris) and Benjamin Reed (Jennifer); one uncle, Phil Pitchford; one aunt, Gladys Taylor of Philadelphia, PA; a devoted friend, Susie Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
Private Services will be held.
