Obituary for Victor Howell
Victor Howell, Sr. was born on October 17, 1954 to the late Richard and Annie Howell. He entered into eternal rest on February 22, 2020.

Victor was educated in the Palmers Spring, VA and the New York City school systems. He graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School, Bronx, NY where he developed his love for swimming.

Victor gave his life to Christ at an early age being baptized at Roanoke Christian Church, Palmers Spring, VA. He joined Good Will Baptist Church, NY where he was a dedicated member serving on the Trustee Board and the Male Choir. Upon moving back to VA, Victor joined Mt. Level Baptist Church and was a faithful member of the Brotherhood Ministry, the Male Chorus and the Trustee Ministry until his health declined.

Victor had a great work ethic. Throughout his life he held several jobs with his first at the age of 14 working for Jerry Croakers’ Gas Station and Garage, NY while attending high school. He worked for Macy’s Bamberger’s Auto Shop, NJ; Supply Shop, Fort Meade, MD; New York Sanitation; Amelia County HS and Virginia Dept. of Transportation from which he retired after 26 years. Victor received numerous awards and certificates of achievements during his academic and employment career.

Victor had an undeniable charm and was a fun, no nonsense (at times), outgoing, avid gardener, and loving person who delighted in sharing his plants and pies with all. His spiritual heart was reflected in his willingness to help and give his last to those who needed it. He would lend a listening ear when no one else would. He loved listening, attending and singing music of praise.

Victor married the love of his life, Tonette Delores Anderson, on February 12, 1977. From this loving union three amazing children were born. Victor left this earth as a loving Husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend.
