Vaniyah Najai Atkins entered her eternal life on October 26, 2020.
Vaniyah was born on March 28,2007 to Wallasha Townsend and Sherron Atkins. Despite her short time on earth, Vaniyah was deeply loved and brought so much joy to those around her.
Vaniyah enjoyed doing her make up, doing her hair which included laying her edges, cheerleading and making Tik Tok videos.
Vaniyah was an eighth grader at Nottoway Middle School. Vaniyah excepted Christ and was baptized at Midway Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Watson and has continued her Christian walk at Living Word of God Tabernacle Ministry in Petersburg, Va.
Vaniyah leaves to cherish her memories her parents Wallasha Townsend (Lorenzo Eppes) and Sherron Atkins; devoted brother Aston Atkins, loving sisters Harmoni Atkins, Demani Atkins and Lorryn Bagley; Loving grandparents Maxine Lawrence, Wallace Townsend (maternal), Karen Atkins, Roger Atkins (paternal); devoted uncles Norris Walton (Catina), Anthony Scott, Correy Atkins, Troy Townsend; loving Aunts Shameika Atkins, Keisha Nash and Tanisha Jenkins; loving and devoted Godparents Kimberly Walton and D’Wayne Redd, other loving relatives and numerous dear friends.
Viewing for Vaniyah will be Friday, October 30, 2020 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Services Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Tabernacle Church 21696 Prince Edward Highway, Rice, VA 23966. Interment to follow at New Bethel Church Cemetery, 14167 Farmville Rd,. Meherrin, VA 23954.
