Obituary for Tyrone N. Tucker, Jr.
Tyrone Nathaniel Tucker, Jr. was called home on October 17, 2017. He was born in Blackstone, VA on February 22, 1968.
He graduated as Salutatorian from Nottoway County High School in 1986 and went on to attend Virginia Commonwealth University where he majored in mathematical science and served as a member of the Army Reserve.
As he settled in Richmond, VA, he joined Victory Tabernacle Baptist Church. On June 20, 1998, he married his loving wife Sherry Hogue. God blessed Tyrone with four amazing children, two sons and two daughters.
Tyrone was not only a loving father and husband, but a lover of wrestling and karate. He had a way with words that could grasp any audience. The only thing stronger than his love of people was his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Darrell Clark. Tyrone leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted wife, Sherry H. Tucker; two sons, Jonathan Tucker and Joshua Tucker; two daughters, Nia Tucker and Maya Tucker; his loving mother, Shirley Crawley-Clark; his father, Tyrone Tucker, Sr.; four brothers, Gary Crawley (Veronica), Rev. Kelly Tucker (Dominique), Dwayne Tucker (Suzanne), Derrick Antowan Tucker, and Pastor Mark Vereen; a devoted uncle, Ben Tucker; four brother-in-laws, Rev. Robert Hogue (Shirley), Ernest Hogue (Dorraine), Cecil Hogue (Diane); and Ben Hogue, three sister-in-laws, Jean Hogue, Sylvia Hogue, and Brenda Beckford; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and special friends, Lyman Clark, Rayshelle Worley, Rosa Norton and Freddie Thomas.
A wake will be held Monday, Oct. 23, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hope Christian Ministry, 5300 W. Marshall St., Richmond, VA where the services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
