We are celebrating the life of Travis (Sid) Sydnor Vaughan, who went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, VA. He was born June 26, 1986 to Albert and Denise Vaughan.
Travis was educated in the Nottoway County Public School System. He was baptized at Cellar Creek Baptist Church. As a child he sang on the choir, attended Sunday School and participated in whatever function that involved the youth. As he grew older, he never forgot who his heavenly father was.
Travis was a jack of all trades, including roofing, construction, pavement, and any other odd jobs that anyone needed help with. His favorite sports were football and baseball. He loved to hunt and could hardly wait until hunting season come in. He was very mannerable, it was always yes/no ma’am, or yes/no sir…a quality that you just don’t see in this day and time.
Travis was proceeded in death by both Paternal and Maternal grandparents, Albert Sr., and Evelyn Vaughan; and William and Margaret (Louise) Hawkes. Great grandparents, Lewis and Susie Williams. Aunts Connie Hawkes and Carolyn Stokes.
He leaves behind to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted parents Albert and Denise Vaughan, three sisters, Catina (Norris) Walton, Jennifer (Michael) Maddux, and Tarnise Vaughan. Like a brother William Hawkes, Jr. (Lil Man). Three aunts, Christine Elder, Sharone (Robert) Booker, and Pamela Black. Five uncles, William, Wayne, and Andre Hawkes; Nelson and Waverly Vaughan. Four nieces, Shelby Dagner, Shaisa Paige, Daijah Walton, and Sadaira Paige, one nephew, DaJuan Walton and one great nephew Rea’von Lawson.
