Obituary for Toursia C. Taylor
An Angel, MRS. TOURSIA TAYLOR, was called home on Monday, October 8, 2012 at VCU/MCV Medical Center in Richmond, VA. She was born October 23, 1960 to Elanora Clarke and the late Robert Clarke of Blackstone, VA.
She was a member of the Mt. Poole Baptist Church of Ford, VA. Toursia retired from Virginia State University.
Toursia was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Thomas and Bobby; and a granddaughter, Catera Light.
She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-one years, Floyd Taylor; one son, Terry Taylor (Virginia) of Petersburg, VA; three daughters, Pamela Prosise (Gregory) of Petersburg, VA, Michelle Williams of Petersburg, VA and Benita Abbey of Hopewell, VA; three brothers-in-law, Melvin Taylor (Minnie) of Dewitt, VA, Jerome Taylor (Cheryl) of Petersburg, VA and McCoy Taylor (Florence) of Richmond, VA; four sisters-in-law, Shirley Grays of Stony Creek, VA, Bobbie Pegram (Roy) of Dinwiddie, VA, Sonji Brown (Leamon) of Hopewell, VA and Annette Anderson (Mark) of Northern Virginia; eighteen grandkids; twenty-one great grandkids; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, among them a devoted niece, Patricia Davis of Matoaca, VA and two devoted nephews, Travis Clarke of North Carolina and Edward Clarke of Petersburg, VA; a devoted aunt, Lettie Morgan of Baltimore Corner.
Funeral Services Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home, Blackstone with interment in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
