Torita Faye Johnson was born on April 28, 1965 in Richmond, VA to Martha Ann Johnson. On June 20, 2015, God saw her pain, so he stepped in and decided it was time for her to come home and gain her wings.Â
Torita attended Nottoway High School. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Torita was loved and adored by many. She was well known for her caring ways, cooking, and most of all babysitting and her love for kids.
Torita was preceded in death by her daughter, Tameka Johnson; mother, Martha Johnson; three aunts, Racheal Blackwell, Julia Harris and Ollie Mae Tomonia; one uncle, Dudley Johnson; one nephew, Avery Anderson, but leaves to cherish and honor her memory: three sisters, Patty Johnson, Martha Johnson and Christie Johnson; one brother, Vincent Johnson (Dionne); nieces and nephews, Jamese (Tony), Brandel, Montrel, Shalonda, DaVon, Keondra, Charles, Kenya, KeShon, Amari, Akira and Andre; four sons at heart, Javon Riddick, KaLon Bassfield, Jamal Hendricks and Baby John Gregory IV; one daughter at heart, Ivy Bush; two aunts, Corine Harris and Emma Harris; two uncles, Walter Johnson (Brenda) and Richard Harris; one sister at heart, Darsheka Garner; and a host of cousins, babies and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
