Obituary for Thomas E. Woodley
On Wednesday, November 26, 2008, God dispatched his loving angel to the bedside of THOMAS ELIE WOODLEY, and on his wings he descended to his heavenly home. “Butch” as he was affectionately called was born on January 30, 1954 to the late Elie and Estelle Patterson Woodley in Amelia, VA.
He was educated in the Amelia County Public Schools and at an early age joined the Manassa Hill Baptist Church.
Butch was employed by the Virginia Department of Transportation.
He leaves to cherish fond and precious memories: sons, Thomas Timothy Woodley and Lamont Manuel Woodley; daughter, Tresali (Peaches) Parham-Woodley; three grandchildren, Marquil Woodley, Najah Stokes and Thori Woodley; three step-children, Adrian and Chris Hamlin and DeVeria Flowers; five step grandchildren, Seantyana Brown, Ranika, Mayana, LaJordan and Tonya Hamlin; four sisters, Betty Woodley, Gloria Jean Woodley, Caroline Woodley and Deloris (Thomas) Cassells; brother, Alvin Woodley; uncle, William (Bill) Woodley; aunt, Carrie Woodley; special and devoted friend, Rita Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Monday, December 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Manassa Hill Baptist Church, Amelia with interment in the church cemetery.
