Obituary for Theresa A Casper
Theresa Annette Casper departed this life on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at home peacefully in her bed. Daughter of the late Mildred Windsor and Claiborne Barbour, she was born January 11, 1942 in Nottoway County.
Theresa was educated in the Nottoway County School System. She joined Union Baptist Church at an early age. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Lewis Aaron Casper, Sr. on August 28, 1982.
Theresa worked at Crewe Laundry for many years until it went out of business. Theresa, also known as the ROCK of the family was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and a well loved friend. Theresa was known for her family gatherings and her Friday nights, when she would blast her music, have her drink and dance the night away. Theresa was well loved and respected by many and will be missed.
Theresa is preceded in death by: husband, Lewis Casper; mother, Mildred Windsor Barbour; father, Claiborne Barbour; grandchildren, Marquise Barbour and Layla Howard; and daughter-in-law, Rosa Barbara.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her nine kids and three step-kids, Raymond Barbour (Tahra), Shelia Stokes (Joseph), April Brown (Nelson), Junious Barbour, Sr., Eric Barbour (Twila), Everett Barbour, Andrel Coleman (Bruce), Darlene Pride (Phillip), Ineta Casper Howard (Thomas) and her bonus child, Junious Barbour, Jr; a devoted step-daughter, Barbara Fowlkes; devoted daughter-in-law, Natalie Barbour (Peaches); twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren; special cousins, Claiborne (Bubbie) Jennings, Idell (Maxine) Fowlkes and James Jennings; special friends, Sandra Bowler and Geraldine Pride; and a host of other cousins and friends.
