Thelma Rebecca Gee, daughter of the late Harry and Rebecca Gee was born on March 17, 1935 in Blackstone, VA. She departed this life on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA.
Thelma received her education through Luther Foster High School. She worked as a cook in Blackstone, VA for thirty-two years.
Thelma was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and Harry Gee; her sisters, Annie Gee-Clark; brother-in-law, John Thomas, Sr.; and nephew Perry LaVar Thomas.
Thelma leaves to cherish her memory: her son Michael Gee of Chesterfield, VA; two sisters, Martha Thomas of Colonial Heights, VA and Lena Gee of Washington, DC; one grandson, Michael Gee, Jr.; two great grandchildren; her caregiver/niece, Winter Harvey; two devoted friends, Rosa Jackson of Amelia, VA and Sandra Tucker of Blackstone, VA; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, Blackstone. Interment Greenview Cemetery Blackstone.
