Obituary for Thaddus Lee Berkley
On March 20, 2024, our father Thaddus L. Berkley (Puddin) departed his life from his family after battling a terminal illness, to be reunited with his wife Thelma Berkley, a daughter Vanessa Street and two sons, Thaddus L. Jennings and Fred Berkley. Puddin is the son of the late Inez Berkley Gomez and Fred D. Jennings.
Puddin left school at a young age to provide for his family, he retired from Holly Farms after thirty years of employment. He loved working around the yard and working on stuff with his grandson Dequan that he raised as his own son and loved very dearly.
Thaddus leaves to cherish his memory to his grandson, Dequan and Yvonne Berkley; his daughters, Catherine Smith, Carolyn Berkley, Lashawn Anderson (Gerald) and Sharon Rux (Demond); two brothers, James and George Berkley; Tina Berkley, his granddaughter that he played a part in raising like his own; he also leaves behind twenty-two grandkids, fifty-five great grandkids, six great-great grandkids; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special to Pudding was Lil Man Poochie who was always under Puddin. Special friends and thanks to Stella Harrison and Ertha Allen. Puddin will never be forgotten!
