Obituary for Teressa C. Vaughan
Teressa Celestine Vaughan, called “Moochie” by many was born on August 25, 1963. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Linda Reeves of Manhattan, NY. After relocating, she was raised by the late Henry and Annie Williams of Kenbridge, VA. She departed this life on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her home in Blackstone, VA.
At an early age she was baptized at Gilfield Baptist Church in Kenbridge, VA. Moochie graduated from Central Senior High School in 1981, Victoria, VA. She had various positions as a factory laborer in North Carolina, she later worked as an administrative assistant for the state of Virginia.
She was united in marriage to Tyrone Vaughan and from this union one son was born, TyRon Vaughan.
Moochie loved to cook and made sure no one went hungry or left her home without a carry out plate. She had a contagious smile and a giving heart. She loved to dance, especially with the “Line Dancing Auxiliary Team of Ladies for Blackstone, VA”.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: her husband, Tyrone, they have been together over thirty years; son TyRon; daughter-in-law, Dominique Baskerville; unborn first granddaughter, Trinity and Serenity; mother-in-law Rachel Vaughan; siblings, Samuella Reeves, Ronald Reeves and Andre Nurse; step-children Travis and Tina Rouse; eleven step grandchildren; one step great grandchild; sisters-in-law Judy Reeves, Pearl Hicks and Jennifer Vaughan; brother-in-law, Michael Vaughan; aunts, Pearl Vaughan, Bernicestein Vaughan and Elizabeth (James) Tucker; uncles Robbie Robertson, and Reginald (Johnnie) Ford; close kinship of sister Deanna Brown; other relatives and friends.
Moochie, you are loved and will be missed; now you have peace, and can now dance with the angels on high.
