Obituary for Sonya G. Robinson
Sonya Genese Robinson was born May 6, 1971 to Sim and Julia Robinson. She departed this life on Monday, August 4, 2014.
Sonya was baptized at Ebenezer Church at an early age. She attended Amelia County High School and graduated with the class of 1990.
Sonya held several jobs with the department of corrections for thirteen years before she became ill in 2008. Sonya never met a person that wasn’t her friend, and she would do whatever she could do for you. She loved to have a good time, very outgoing, loved sports and music.
Sonya was preceded in death by her loving nephew Terrence El, but leaves to mourn:Â two children, Charles Robinson and Tonea Smith; her mother and father, Julia and Sim Robinson; four siblings, Joseph Love, Dorothy El (Terrence), Arlene Love and Sim Robinson (Sherea); one godchild, Wyvetra Brown; a host of nieces and nephews, great niece and nephews; one special and close niece, Towanna Love Harvey.
 Funeral Services Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Amelia County High School Auditorium, Amelia with interment in the Robinson Family Cemetery, Rice.
