Obituary for Sharon C. Robinson
Sharon Elaine Robinson, daughter of Clarence U. and Shirley B. Carter was born August 2, 1967 and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
Sharon accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age. She was baptized and joined Reed Rock Baptist Church. She sung on the youth choir for many years at Pilgrim Baptist Church, Jetersville, VA. She served faithfully as an usher at Reed Rock.
Sharon graduated from Amelia County High School in 1987. She graduated from nursing school in Nottoway, VA. She attended Bryant and Stratton College. For most of her adult life she was employed as a home health care worker.
She is survived by her husband, Edward H. Robinson of Amelia; her two sons, Antonio D. Jones (Christy) of Freeman, VA and Quincy Jones of Amelia, VA; one granddaughter, Tiana Jones; three adopted granddaughters, DeAndra, Aliyah and Nevaeh; one sister, Connie Gardner (James) of Tappahannock, VA; one brother, Alphonso U. Carter of Richmond, VA; two nephews, Javon Carter and Rodney Robinson, Jr.; one niece, Makayla Robinson; one brother-in-law, Rodney Robinson (Carolyn) of Rice, VA; devoted mother-in-law, Audrey Ross; two aunts, Gail Johnson and Alice Hattie Booker; two uncles, Arthur V. Booker and Patrick Johnson; Hattie Divins whom Sharon adopted as a second mother; other relatives and friends.Â
Funeral Services for Mrs. Sharon Carter Robinson will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Harvest Baptist Church, 9821 Redfield Dr., Amelia with interment in the Reed Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, Amelia. Viewing will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Â
