Obituary for Sarah Lee Wright
Sarah Lee Wright departed this life on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Community Memorial Healthcenter in South Hill, VA. Sarah was born March 31, 1942 to the late Frank and Illinoise Boswell of Darvills, VA. She was the third child of six children.she was educated at Southside High School in Dinwiddie, VA. At an early age she joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Darvills. She was an honorary and faithful member of the Senior Choir, Gospel Chorus and the Pastor Aid until her health would not let her carry out her duties.she was preceded in death by her grandson, Shaun Johnson, but leaves to mourn and cherish her memory: her husband of forty-five years, Edward Wright (Eddie); two daughters, Janice Johnson of Blackstone, VA and Barbara Yates of Crewe, VA; one son, Charles Wright; three grandchildren, Lamont Dagner of Blackstone, VA, Sharise Yates of Richmond, VA and Jalisa Crawley of Crewe, VA; three great grandchildren; four sisters, Arlene Carroll, Patsy Knight (James), Mary Gilcrest, all of Blackstone, VA and Ida Hardy (Morris) of McKenney, VA; one brother, Frank Boswell (Martha) of Blackstone, VA; two devoted friends, Linwood Dagner, Jr. of Blackstone, VA and Pat Evans (Home Health Aide) of Burkeville, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends of Route 609.Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. from Shiloh Baptist Church, Darvills, VA with interment in the church cemetery.W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
