Obituary for Sarah Lee Clark
Sarah Lee Clark was born January 2, 1947 to Emmett and Eva Northington and departed this life on November 2, 2009.
Sarah graduated from James Solomon Russell High School in 1968. She was a faithful member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Brodnax, VA where she served as a member of the Usher Board and as Sexton until her untimely death.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Eva Northington, and three brothers, Arthur, Ramon and Wilbert.
Sarah was a lovely wife, sister and aunt. Sarah, you will always be loved by us and rememebered for the strong and caring person that you are.
Sarah leaves to mourn: her husband of twenty years, Carlton O. Clark, Sr.; two sisters and four brothers, Beulah Allen of Brodnax, VA, Shirley Pinckney (William) of Williamsburg, VA, twin brother Richard (Virginia), John (Louise), George of Brodnax, VA and Roy of Oakland, CA; four stepsons, Carlton Jr. of Blackstone, VA, Kelvin of Virginia Beach, VA, Osborne of Petersburg, VA and Antione of Wilsons, VA; two stepdaughters, Charlotte of Blackstone, VA and Linda of Ford, VA; two sisters-in-law, Adell Goodson of Richmond, VA and Lillie Edmonds of Blackstone, VA; devoted friends, Norma Jean Brown, Betty Booker, Bertha Craig, Joyce Lee, Harold Brown and Willie Brown; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services Friday, November 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home, Blackstone with interment in the Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery, Blackstone.
