Obituary for Sandra L. Goodman
On Wednesday, December 29, 2021, God opened heaven, reached down and called his angel home to glory; Sandra Louise Huberta Booker Goodman.
Sandra was born March 20,1961 to the late Ford Edward Booker and Mildred Booker in Amelia, Virginia. She was educated in the Amelia School System. At an early age she accepted Christ and was a member of Promise Land Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Chester Grove Baptist Church to be with her husband.
Sandra was a loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed being around family and friends, making memories. Many would say that she had a heart of pure gold with a smile that was contagious. She was very caring and opened the doors of her home to whomever needed it.
She also loved to play bingo and before her health began to decline, wouldn’t miss a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday night bingo game.
Sandra was proceeded in death by her son Reginald Booker, her mother, father, two sisters Geraldine Brown and Shelia Ingram, and niece Priscilla Brown-Lee.
She leaves to carry on her memory and legacy; husband Leslie Goodman; two daughters Sonya (Shamecka) Smith and Tanya (Tiara) Douglas, one son Marcus Booker; stepson Akeem Goodman; grandchildren Diamonte Russell, Emoni Lewis, Dajhne Russell, Iyona Russell, Clifford Street, Ziyuan Street, Nya Douglas, Jai'Ceon Smith and Makayla Stovall; five brothers James(Margaret) Booker, Roger(Shannon) Booker, Stewart (Angelia) Booker, Kenneth (Tara) Booker, Clifton (Dorothy) Scott; two sisters Julia Green and Yvone (Wilson) Brown; brothers-in-law Nathaniel Goodman, Benny Goodman, Albert Goodman, Leroy (Helen) Goodman, Tyrone (Stephanie) Goodman, Ernest (Joann) Goodman; sister-in-law Mary Alice Overby; two honorary daughters Shaskyra Agnew and LaStarra Garcia; special friends Bridgette Jordan, Diane Walker, Cynthia “Inky” Irby, Rita “Missie” Ingram, Patricia Lewis, and Pearl Neal, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
