The family circle has been reconnected as she was the last of her siblings. She has also been reunited with her husband, Deacon George Eppes; daughter, Colene Johnson; son, George Jr., grandson Sam, and great granddaughter, DeJanee.

Mrs. Sadie accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age. She joined the Eleven Oaks Baptist Church and later became a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, Blackstone. She was very active at Shiloh. She was a member of the Deaconess Board and the Usher Board.

Mrs. Sadie received her education in the public schools. As a young adult, she travelled out of state doing domestic work. Upon returning home, she met and married the love of her life, Mr. George Eppes. To this union, two children were born, George, Jr. and Wanda.
