SFC (Retired) George Henry Robinson aka “Pete”, 77, son of the late Eva Booker Robinson and George Linwood Robinson was born on May 16, 1947 in Amelia, Virginia. On Friday, November 8, 2024; “Pete” entered into eternal life. He was educated in Amelia Public School System. He proudly served in the United States Army with exemplary service including the Vietnam Era, tours in Korea, Desert Storm and Azores, Portugal. He also diligently worked for Medical Transportation Services and CHKD Oyster Point Newport News where he was affectionately known as the comforting grandpa with a smile. In addition to his parents, a brother, Freddie Robinson, and a nephew a Ryan Robinson preceded him in death. Those who shall forever cherish his memory are his wife, Gladys Robinson, Newport News, VA; daughter and caregiver, Tawanna Robinson, Newport News, VA and Tanya Robinson, Suffolk, VA; son Jamie Robinson (Angie) of Newport News, VA. Brothers: Mack Robinson (Elsie), Lloyd Robinson (Shanta) and Tony Robinson, Sister Susie Bland (Graham); all of VA. Sisters-in-law: Marcia Anderson, Rev. Dr. Myrtle Dobson (Tracy) Brothers-in-law: George Williams, John Royall, Nelson Royall (Irma), all of VA. 10 devoted grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
