Obituary for Rosalind M. Jennings
Rosalind Marie Williams, born June 17, 1954 to the late Thaddeus {Thad} Williams and the late Alma Marie Williams from Baltimore MD Peacefully heard God’s whisper to be called Home on March 10th 2021 to reunite with her Mom and Dad.

Rosalind was best know as ‘Rosie” to all who knew and loved her. Although we called her by both names, she knew that it would identify when and where you knew her best.

Rosalind was a world traveler and shopper. She could find the most unique locations to enjoy life, until that day in October when she became ill and caused her to travel to the Wellsprings of Amelia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Amelia, Virginia.

At a young age Rosalind began her education in the Baltimore City School Systems. Graduating from Northwestern High School. As one of the first to graduate and leave the state to attend the University of Chicago. Rosalind became gainfully employed in the Quality Control unit for the State of Maryland for over 25 years. Similarly she transferred her work to the city Petersburg where she was employed an additional 15years until retiring in 2018.
Rosalind had such a traveling history that in 2002 relocated to Crewe, Virginia where she made a home with the love of her life Calvin Pooker Jennings. She and Calvin had been Best Friends for many years, until that day on November 20th 1993, when they became united as Husband and Wife. From this union the late Calvin Jennings II was born in 1992, After relocating to Crewe in 2002, Rosalind found a new church family at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, under Pastor Rev. Earl Walker. Rosalind served in Finance and Missionary ministries. After a lengthy stay, she became a member of the Eleven Oak Baptist Church of Crewe, Virginia where she served as an honorary choir member. Oh how she loved to worship GOD. This was a teaching from her early childhood in Baltimore. Rosalind’s mother (late) Alma Williams taught her to love GOD with all her might, while in membership at Israel Baptist of Baltimore. Even then, Rosalind maintained several positions in ministry from youth choir to adult choir. Then the Woman’s day choir , active in the Sunday school (where her mother taught), also in the BTU (Baptist training room).

Rosalind loved to Shop, and Travel, but most importantly she loved her Family. She had a Smile and Laugh that we will remember for a lifetime. Rosalind left us with a lifetime of Memories with her kind Heart, and giving spirit.

Rosalind leaves to cherish her Loving Memory a devoted and Loving husband, Calvin Jennings; one Step son Philander Jennings of Baltimore MD; two brother in laws Eugene W. Scott of Baltimore MD and Thomas Jennings of Crewe VA; one uncle Lee Jennings of Crewe VA; three Aunts; Lessie (Aunt Kat) Jennings of Crewe VA, Yvonne Jennings of Richmond VA, Eartie Bea of Baltimore MD ; two Nieces Delores Cooper of Atlanta Ga and Patricia Jennings of Baltimore MD; three nephews Eric Newby of Houston TX, Russell and William (Billy) Epperson of Baltimore MD; three nieces in law Bernice Jennings of Baltimore MD, Lula Jennings of Baltimore MD, and Carolyn Cooper of Crewe VA; six great nieces, Glenarda Walden (Marshall) of Baltimore MD, Erica Hardy (Joel) of Atlanta GA, Tara Bennett (Kyle) of Elizabeth City NC, Delores (Neicy) Cooper of Elizabeth City NC, Kelly Epperson of Baltimore MD, Yolanda Jennings of Baltimore MD; four great nephews Melvin Cooper of Atlanta GA, Calvin Cooper (Badia) of Raleigh NC, Jamal Walden (Sonya) of Baltimore MD, Neil Jennings of Baltimore MD; one Special Niece Dyamond Boopie Perry of Baltimore MD; one sister-in-love Carolyn Butler; one God brother Rodney Williams and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family.
